Ah-Weh-Eyu (Pretty Flower), Seneca Native American, 1908
Also known by her English name Goldie Jamison Conklin, Ah-Weh-Eyu was a Seneca of the Heron Clan, from the Allegany Reservation, in Western New York. She worked as a model for the Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. of Little Valley, New York, and some photos of her appeared on postcards as an advertisement for the company’s line of “Indian Brand” knives.
